Zillerstrasse 29, Berlin
This work takes direct inspiration from the architectonical structure on which it’s located and it’s inserted in the “Unity” concept proposed by Urban Nation for its curatorial project.
The two subjects are placed one on each wall, with a physical and real division in between: like reciprocal reflections that interpret each other while floating/sinking separately, opposite yet complementary, they seem to be part of the same original whole, now divided or going to unite again.
This is about something that has to be focused, about the need for understanding and awareness for what’s on the other side and around. It is about common responsibilities and aims despite distances and differences: towards a lost balance between humankind and nature and with human nature itself, towards the resultant mutual vulnerability and a potential cooperative participation.
